Patrick and I finally got into some Mountains. Not that I don’t enjoy European cities, but it is the Mountains that are calling me. The High Tatras are a a very curious Mountain range. Surprisingly the name is quite deceptive, and they actually aren’t very high. Only around 7000ft at the highest. However, what they lack in elevation, they make up for in stunning geological beauty. They rise like knives out of the low hilly landscape of Slovakia and Poland with many caves and plethora or ribbon like waterfalls that run from the passes all the way down the rock walls to the villages below.
