Some in Missoula took advantage of the sunny Saturday to pack a load of rope, webbing, pulleys, bolts, carabiners and a drill up into the mountains. On Saturday the first Bitterroot Highline was set up, and it still remains unsent. For many slack lining is a relaxing test of balance and concentration over soft grass. But some choose to take it to new heights, and the approximately 24 meter lines difficulty comes from its incline and the presence of thermals. Or perhaps the fact that it is a couple hundred feet above the ground… Check out the Feature page Monday for more.
